As an Enterprise Architect, you will lead the development and enforcement of governance models to ensure architectural decisions support the organization's strategic goals and maintain a balance between innovation, compliance, and risk management. You will be a champion of Domain-Driven Design, improving system architecture by understanding complex business needs and promoting collaboration across various teams to integrate governance and design principles. Your role will involve establishing governance protocols using Ardoq, translating requirements into architectural blueprints, and ensuring enterprise-wide alignment with the architecture. A strong background in enterprise technologies, excellent leadership, and analytical skills, paired with continuous learning in emerging trends, will position you as a thought leader driving the organization towards resilient and adaptable IT solutions.

What We Offer:

  • Leadership in Enterprise Architecture Governance : Drive the development and implementation of comprehensive governance models to ensure that architecture decisions align with the organization's strategic objectives, maintaining a balance between innovation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in Domain-Driven Design : Champion the adoption of domain-driven design principles, facilitating a clear understanding of complex business domains and enabling the creation of a cohesive and scalable system architecture that responds effectively to evolving business needs.
  • Cross-Domain Collaboration : Foster a collaborative environment across multiple business and technology domains, ensuring that governance practices and domain-driven design methodologies are well-understood and embraced by all stakeholders, enhancing communication and reducing siloed decision-making.
  • Continuous Learning and Thought Leadership : Stay at the forefront of enterprise architecture best practices, including governance and domain-driven design, by actively engaging in continuous learning and contributing to the knowledge base of the organization as a recognized thought leader in these areas.

We'll Count on You To:

  • Establish and maintain robust governance protocols for the configuration and use of Ardoq as our primary enterprise architecture tool, ensuring consistency and compliance across all architectural domains and projects.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives
  • Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies and ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Develop and apply standards and minimal viable architectures through the EA governance model
  • Collaborate with product management and delivery teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture
  • Facilitate the evaluation, selection, and total cost of ownership of software product standards and services
  • Facilitate domain-driven design workshops, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture practices and business strategy

What You Need to Have:

  • Proven experience in system design, including the creation of high-level design artifacts that effectively convey architectural solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics
  • Familiarity with business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management
  • Strong leadership skills with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management, and business development
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Vendor- and technology-neutral with a focus on achieving targeted business outcomes

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Proven track record in establishing robust governance frameworks: By demonstrating your ability to create and enforce a comprehensive governance strategy, you ensure that IT investments align with business goals, and project initiatives remain consistent with the enterprise architecture. Your expertise in defining clear policies, standards, and procedures not only promotes efficiency and consistency across the enterprise but also mitigates risks, enabling a secure and compliant IT environment.
  • Expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD): Your deep understanding of DDD principles allows you to effectively manage and evolve complex enterprise systems. By emphasizing a model-based approach that aligns with business needs, you ensure that the architecture is both resilient and adaptable to change. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical implementation and business strategy makes you invaluable in fostering a common language among stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership in cross-functional collaboration: As an enterprise architect, your ability to lead and facilitate collaboration across various domains and teams is crucial. Your experience in working with business analysts, developers, and executives to drive a united vision for the architecture positions you as a key player in achieving strategic objectives. This collaborative approach guarantees that domain expertise is fully integrated into the governance process.
  • Innovative application of DDD to microservices architecture: Your innovative application of DDD within a microservices architecture context sets you apart. You recognize the importance of bounded contexts and the strategic design of microservices, ensuring that services are loosely coupled, maintainable, and aligned with business capabilities. This foresight is essential in a landscape that increasingly favors agile, scalable, and distributed systems.
  • Continuous improvement and education in emerging technologies: Your commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends in enterprise architecture and governance, including new frameworks, tools, and best practices, demonstrates your dedication to excellence. By continuously educating yourself and your team, you play a pivotal role in driving the organization towards cutting-edge solutions that provide a competitive advantage and meet future challenges head-on.
