Position: Staff Software Engineer



Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Participate in Order Batching in the Last mile delivery domain for Walmart International. Analyze functional and non-functional requirements for International Batching Sub-Initiatives. Develop high-level software design blueprint with focus on cost and leverage of reusable software components from Walmart US. Develop low-level design component and provide technical guidance to developers and engineers. Extensive Code review and enforcement of Coding Standards, Guidelines and Software Design Principles. Provide technical guidance and support for software development and bug fixes in the Last mile Delivery domain. Software rollouts and launches of Order Batching Sub-Initiatives for Walmart International. Participate in Engineering Excellence for the Last mile delivery domain. Cross functional collaboration with teams distributed across various geographies. Participate in Cloud Cost Optimization as part of Organizational Operational Excellence strategy. Work on innovation testing strategies such as Beta Testing for the Last mile delivery domain. Participate in critical business metrics dashboarding and analytics for Walmart International.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience designing and implementing Webservices in Java with the SOAP framework and the RESTFul design pattern. Experience designing and developing scalable, fault-tolerant, high-throughput, self-contained microservices with the Java Spring Boot framework. Experience designing and developing complex object systems with Domain Driven Design principles. Experience designing and developing applications having loosely coupled system components with Hexagonal (Ports and Adapter) architecture. Experience writing concurrent and distributed system code using the Akka Actors framework. Experience developing non-blocking, asynchronous, responsive, and scalable Java backend applications with RxJava. Experience designing and developing secured, extensible, generic, and resilient Backend for Frontend design pattern based microservices with Node.js. Experience designing and developing non-structured, highly scalable data models with NoSQL Data stores including Cassandra and Cosmos DB. Experience designing and developing Data Models in Relational Database Management systems including Oracle, MySQL, Azure SQL, and H2 to build transactions applications for data durability, consistency, faster access, and recovery operations. Experience designing and developing high-throughput, resilient, scalable, and stream processing microservices with frameworks including Kafka, KStream, and HazelcastJet. Experience developing a regression-based forecasting machine learning model with TensorFlow. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $150,762/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
