Morris Midwest, is a division of Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America. It is a regional distributor of CNC machine tools, tooling and accessories, and related engineering and support services. We are seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician willing to learn. This role will provide exciting opportunities to work for a multidimensional company in a fast-paced, growing industry.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Sales Administrator is responsible for assisting in administrative duties and supporting the sales channel as they relate to and present themselves for parts, contracts, sales, reception, and general office work. This position strives to ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:


  • Receive calls from customers and disseminates information to proper departments

  • Assist in processing machine orders and maintain order details as needed.

  • Prepare machine quotes and deals sheets

  • Assist C.A. Group by track purchase orders, payments, and deadlines as needed.

  • Develop and maintain partner relationships with our machine tool vendors and other third-party vendors.

  • Act as the company's marketing liaison with corporate marketing group in assisting the coordination of tradeshows/open houses

  • Front desk/receptionist duties as needed

  • General office/break room cleaning each day as needed

  • Provides vacation relief for other team members

  • Coordinate travel arrangements including flight, hotel, and car reservations in accordance with company policies

  • Ensure customer commitments are executed as planned and exhibit ownership of problems, including coordinating with appropriate departments when necessary for resolution of problems to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team

  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in the field

  • Maintain basic knowledge of product lines represented by the company

  • Communicate with both external and internal customers such as customer service and sales, personnel and other internal departments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:


  • Associate's Degree in related field and two years of applicable experience required; combination of education and applicable experience would be considered

  • Intermediate to advanced typing and computer skills (ex., Microsoft Office Suite, data processing, etc.)

  • Intermediate to advanced math and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

  • Ability to follow standard to complex written and verbal instructions such as bills of materials and shipping documents, or equivalent

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, the public and others

  • Ability to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision

  • Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills

  • Understand and be aware of contract policies

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, the public and others.

  • Ability to travel nationally and regionally up to 10% of year for training purposes
