This role will be responsible for coaching the Indirect procurement team, the development and oversight of key vendor relationships, managing and negotiating contractual agreements, and the procurement of Capital goods and services. This position will also interact cross functionally throughout many functions and levels of the organization. Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic sourcing function for indirect goods and services
Coach the Indirect team responsible for the functional execution of the sourcing strategy
Review and assess contractual terms and conditions to determine strategic direction and negotiation strategies
Identify, lead and support quality, cost productivity and business relationship improvements with our suppliers
Standardize indirect procurement supplies, suppliers, and processes across the organization
Work in conjunction with Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to identify continuous improvement opportunities
Drive and support productivity and cost savings initiatives
Support and execute tactical sourcing activities for assigned categories inclusive of Capital, and various other products and services
Professionally, creatively, and ethically negotiate with suppliers to obtain the optimum value
Lead periodic business reviews with strategic suppliers to gauge performance and set measurements for success
Strategically source and develop relationships with new suppliers to bring Johnsonville innovation and value
Prepare and solicit bids and quotations as needed
Maintain the flexibility to procure various items for the company
Education:
Bachelor's Degree, or willingness to obtain a bachelor's degree preferred
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant indirect experience required
Previous coaching experience required
Experience working with a wide range of external vendors is highly desired
Experience in SAP Business Software or MRP systems a plus.

Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate others and affect change
Self-starter with a keen awareness of customer and team needs
Proven experience reviewing and negotiating contractual language and agreements required
