This position provides engineering and supervisory support for facilities maintenance systems modifications, new equipment specifications and procurement, operation testing, warranty tracking and manages the organization’s facility maintenance resources at assigned facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL:


  • Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Evaluates quality and efficiency of work and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.

  • Responsible for the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of assigned facilities. Manages and assumes responsibility for contracted services including scope of work, selection, administration, performance management, and scheduling of facilities maintenance resources.

  • Creates and monitors the annual budget for assigned facilities and explains variances as needed. Participates in the procurement process for materials and services attained through purchase requests and contracts.

  • Provides planning and support for design and construction of facilities and facility equipment as well as preventative maintenance.

  • Coordinates with internal personnel and contracted services for snow removal and landscape maintenance and ensures work is completed to the organization’s standards and complies with contractual requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a facet of facility maintenance, such as construction management, engineering, facility management or related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance or a directly related field working with commercial/industrial electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in contract administration and procurement, including developing scope of work, specifications, procurement and tracking project costs.

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory role, union environment preferred.

  • A minimum of one year experience building and monitoring budgets; including long-range expenditure forecasting and variance reporting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Proficiency in best practices for HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, civil/site maintenance, landscaping and irrigation systems, and the ability to analyze and adjust practices to obtain optimum results

  • Either possess or be able to obtain a Colorado State Herbicide License within one year of date of hire. License to include ROW, Turf, and Ornamental areas of emphasis. (Applicable only for Landscape Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance)

  • Proficient with OSHA, EPA and local, state, and federal codes and regulations.

  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices and procedures.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

  • Ability to use sound judgment.

  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment specifications, proposals, and construction documents.

  • Valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable MVR.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include 24-7 call.

Pay Range:

$77,437.00 - $109,380.25 Annual
