Job Title:Regional Recruitment MgrDepartment:Strategic Enrollment | Undergraduate Admissions



Establishes and maintains off-site recruitment office designed to independently plan, execute, and evaluate recruitment activities and high school relations within assigned recruitment areas of Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego; applies advanced knowledge of recruitment strategies and higher education experience to strategically plan and implement territory-specific activities and events; analyzes prospective student data and uses Empowering Marketing Analysis and other technologies/tools to inform strategic recruitment activities; designs and executes multiple methods of communications for prospective students within territory; counsels and corresponds with prospective undergraduate students and their families, both domestic and international undergraduates, regarding Ohio State admissions policies, procedures and general information; conducts large and small-group presentations; travels to high schools, community colleges, and other college fairs to represent OSU; regular travel necessary with extensive travel up to 20 weeks a year (Fall and Spring); develops and cultivates positive relationships with high school counselors, accesses program staff and area alumni; works with Alumni Relations to identify and engage local alumni in recruitment efforts; observes trends specific to territory and communicates those observations back to Columbus campus to inform future recruitment initiatives; provides all levels of support for home office including but not limited to: prepares budgets, facilitates administrative and technological support, troubleshoots technological issues; attends on campus update and training sessions at least 2-3 times a year; reads applications through our holistic application review process; participates as an active member of Undergraduate Admissions through membership on committees; assists office during events and other times throughout the year; conducts special projects and other duties as assigned; evening and weekend hours required; based in Southern California (ideally in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area) and requires incumbent work from home.




Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 4 years of relevant experience required.




Additional Education Desired


Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; ability to live in targeted area and work out of home required; 3-5 years previous experience in admissions, higher education outreach, counseling, public relations required; previous experience executing admissions recruitment activities required; technology skills required; valid driver's license required; this position requires successful completion of criminal background check.




Desired Qualifications:
Master's preferred; knowledge of the Southern California high school market strongly desired; experience in outreach and counseling for prospective students and knowledge of The Ohio State University community strongly desired; excellent written and oral communication skills desired. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

The salary offer for this position will be based on internal equity, units' available budget, and the candidates' qualifications.
