Description:


The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical experience in the management of frontotemporal dementia and other early-onset neurodegenerative diseases; and knowledge of neuroimaging analyses, biomarkers, clinical-pathological correlations, statistical analyses and experimental design. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.


Teaching responsibilities may include presentations to medical students, residents and fellows on early-onset neurodegenerative diseases.


Clinical responsibilities may include seeing patients with frontotemporal dementia and other early-onset dementias, conducting therapeutic trials in early-onset dementias.


Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaborative or independent research within involving novel studies of neuroimaging, biofluid, and cognitive markers of neurodegenerative disease. Tenure track applicants will be expected to develop an independent research program supported by federal and foundation grants funding.
