Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees.Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment.Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role.Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.

This position is located in Lorain County, Elyria, OH.

The 4-H Summer Assistant with Ohio State University Extension, Lorain County will be responsible for assisting the 4-H Extension Educator with activities related to the Lorain County 4-H Program, with particular focus on the 4-H STEM programming. The employee will work with volunteers, youth, and parents to prepare for 4-H camps, judging, and STEM programming. The employee will primarily work out of the Lorain County Extension Office but will have some tasks and responsibilities which are completed off-site. Student Assistants are expected to serve as a positive representation of OSU Extension to the community and abide by the rules & policies of OSU Extension, Lorain County, including but not limited to dress code, professionalism, work hours, etc.

Hours are flexible. This position can work up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.
