The Office of Admission seeks an Admissions Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year. This one-year contracted position plays a key role in supporting our campus opportunities for prospective students and their families.
Essential Duties Summary
Daily office coverage, including main office phone and email
Assisting with campus events and daily tour schedules
Providing campus tours when needed, particularly over the summer
Serving as an application reader and on admissions committees
Other responsibilities as needed
This is a one-year appointment, running from June 3 through May 31 of the following year. Most of the work is based on campus; frequent remote workdays are generally not part of this position.
Required Qualifications
A recently completed BA from Sarah Lawrence College; in some cases, a BA from a similar institution may be considered
Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking one-on-one and to groups
Ability to provide campus tours, particularly over the summer and between semesters, drawing upon recent experiences as a student
Must adhere to confidentiality in a number of capacities, concerning student information as well as prospective student information
