Plumber, LicensedTNPRC - Facilities and Maintenance

Location: Covington, LA

Summary

Performs general maintenance and repairs to pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures including urinals, water closets, fountains and sinks. Maintains all gas, heating, water, and plumbing systems on the campus and university property. Performs a variety of journey level skilled plumbing tasks in the repair and maintenance of campus buildings and facilities; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
THIS IS AN ESSENTIAL PERSONNED POSITION. IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO WORK DURING A CLOSURE, YOU MUST PROVIDE ACCURATE AND CURRENT CONTACT INFORMATION AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING COMMUNICATION WITH TNPRC. FAILURE TO REPORT TO WORK WHEN REQUESTED BY SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION AS OUTLINED BY THE STAFF HANDBOOK.

Required Qualifications

*Journeyman Plumber's license valid in Louisiana.*Five years' experience in the general maintenance and repair field including repair and preventive maintenance of plumbing equipment.*Specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents are required.

Preferred Qualifications

*Ability to perform job duties while wearing respiratory protection.*Responsible for understanding and utilizing the work order process.
