Location: San Antonio, Texas
Texas Biomed is searching for an Administrative Assistant to join the Vice President for Research team. The position will provide support for day-to-day administrative duties relative to the Texas Biomed Faculty and their staff.
The Role:
· Coordinates preparations for staff meetings, committee meetings, board meetings, seminars and similar events
· Maintains and completes purchase requisitions for office supplies and other materials for assigned area
· Distributes/opens mail, answers telephone calls/records messages, and composes correspondence/documents
· Performs building walk throughs to identify facilities tickets needed, address any printer issues, restock breakroom and central office supplies
· Executes and coordinates IT and facilities work order tickets
· Receives and routes paperwork, supplies, equipment and other materials for interoffice deliveries
· Makes travel arrangements, hotel reservations; prepares itinerary and travel expense report
· Establishes, maintains and retires various files, including confidential files
Our Ideal Candidate:
Requires a high school diploma or GED, Associate's Degree preferred
Requires at least 1 year job specific experience, 3 years' experience preferred
Must have well-developed organizational skills
Computer knowledge, to include Microsoft Office experience required
