RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Data Consultant in Burlington, MA.

Overview:
As a Senior Data Consultant specializing in AWS Data Consolidation and Decision Frameworks, you will play a pivotal role in transforming disparate data sources scattered across AWS environments into a cohesive and centralized repository. Leveraging your expertise in AWS services, data architecture, and decision science, you will design and implement scalable solutions to aggregate, integrate, and analyze data, enabling stakeholders to derive actionable insights and drive strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating a proof of concept (POC) following an assessment, incorporating MongoDB and Apache technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Assessment and Consolidation:


  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of data sources and structures within AWS environments

  • Develop strategies to consolidate scattered data into a unified and accessible repository

  • Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data integrity and consistency

Architecture Design and Optimization:

  • Design scalable and efficient data architectures leveraging AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, and Athena

  • Optimize data pipelines and workflows to streamline data ingestion, processing, and storage

  • Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and governance within AWS environments

Proof of Concept Development:

  • Create a proof of concept (POC) based on the assessment findings, incorporating MongoDB and Apache technologies

  • Demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed data consolidation and decision framework solutions

  • Iterate on the POC based on feedback and refine the solution to align with business objectives

Decision Framework Development:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty) preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles, with a focus on AWS environments

  • Experience with MongoDB and Apache technologies

  • Experience with decision science, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau)

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data architectures and ETL processes

  • Strong proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, and Athena

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
