Job Summary:
This position aids in the process of pulling out and retaining as much of the pure aluminum as possible for the smelter side of the facility. It will mean being able to identify and remove our heavy metals such as copper, brass, stainless, zinc, or aluminum depending upon the sort being run.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Sort through materials to pull specified product from the moving conveyor belt related to the station you've been assigned to
Work with repetitive functions
Light shoveling of material and sweeping within the department
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of inbound scrap and how to process the scrap to maintain production goals.
Housekeeping - Making certain area is clean and organized to work in
Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Communication - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Math Skills - Needs to be capable of doing basic math skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Standard shift is 12 hours
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds
Must have visual acuity; capable of being visually alert to surroundings in the department
Work station involves looking at a conveyor belt for long periods of time
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials
Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, squat, sit, balance, twist at the waist and neck, and/or crouch to perform work over the duration of the shift
Must be able to work in confines spaces
Must be able to function in a loud, dusty, hot cold, or humid environment for the duration of the shift
