Mission/Role:
As a Senior/Lead Engineer, you will be a key player in the successful execution of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. Your role involves overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale solar power plants. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.
Project Planning and Design:
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for utility-scale solar PV projects.
Collaborate with electrical and civil engineers to develop detailed project designs.
Prepare technical drawings, including electrical schematics and site layouts.
System Optimization:
Perform computer simulations and analysis to optimize system performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Evaluate and select appropriate PV components (panels, inverters, etc.).
Construction Oversight:
Supervise construction activities, including equipment installation and wiring.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
Minimum 5 years of experience in solar engineering, specifically utility-scale PV projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software for design and documentation.
Knowledge of photovoltaic system components, including panels, inverters, and mounting structures.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Familiarity with electrical drawings, plan sets, and PV system design.
Experience with PVsyst modeling and advanced MS Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Understanding of electrical grid integration and utility interconnection requirements.
