Mission/Role:


As a Senior/Lead Engineer, you will be a key player in the successful execution of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. Your role involves overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale solar power plants. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.


Project Planning and Design:


  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for utility-scale solar PV projects.

  • Collaborate with electrical and civil engineers to develop detailed project designs.

  • Prepare technical drawings, including electrical schematics and site layouts.

System Optimization:


  • Perform computer simulations and analysis to optimize system performance.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate PV components (panels, inverters, etc.).

Construction Oversight:


  • Supervise construction activities, including equipment installation and wiring.

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar engineering, specifically utility-scale PV projects.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software for design and documentation.

  • Knowledge of photovoltaic system components, including panels, inverters, and mounting structures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Familiarity with electrical drawings, plan sets, and PV system design.

  • Experience with PVsyst modeling and advanced MS Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.

  • Understanding of electrical grid integration and utility interconnection requirements.
