Job Description:

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $105,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client in the capital markets industry is currently seeking an Associate Principal, Information Governance. This is a full-time position that includes base + bonus + excellent benefits. With a hybrid work environment, you'll be remote for 2 days and in their Loop-based office for 3 days.


There is a strong preference for a candidate to come from a Capital Markets/Financial Services background.


Overview: This is a new team within governance that will work with data from across the organization to help prepare for the future state of data governance and implement things like AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics. This is a data-focused position within the governance team.



This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to contribute to the mindset/culture of "information as an enterprise asset".


• Execute controls and risk assessments.


• Implement information governance, data protection, and privacy policies.


• Develop training and awareness programs for information governance, data protection, and privacy policies.


• Perform the privacy impact assessment on data incidents. Work with relevant stakeholders as needed like Security Services and Legal to help resolve issues.


• Handle the preparation of program for regulatory and internal audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience working with ServiceNow, Archer, etc.


• Business Intelligence tool(s) experience.


• Background in Capital Markets is highly preferred.


• Bachelor's degree or higher.


• At least 4+ years of working with information or data governance control activities.
