Summary:
Supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed.


Salary range $46,649 - $59,159 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.




Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.


Preferred Qualifications


The preferred candidate will have experience in cancer cell biology: handling cell lines, genetic manipulations including gene knockdowns using lentiviral preparations, siRNA transfections, experience in Western blot for protein detection, RNA extraction and real-time PCR analysis; experience in molecular biology: cloning, preparation of plasmids, transfection; experience in mouse handling is preferred including maintaining colonies, injecting cancer cells in subcutaneous models etc. Experience with overall lab reagent/instrument maintenance and ordering is preferred.
