Summary:
Performs a full range of laboratory animal care activities that involve both direct and indirect animal contact. Provides daily husbandry of laboratory animals (rodents and large animals) to include animal observations, handling, and restraint, feeding and watering, changing ventilated cages, enclosures, pens, racks, and sanitizing animal and procedure rooms and equipment. Operates and maintains supplies and equipment necessary to perform the husbandry duties. Provides daily record-keeping and animal census.


Salary range for the position is $33,639 - $41,146 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.




Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience


High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.



Preferred Qualifications



The preferred candidate should have a AALAS certification and general animal husbandry training/experience. The preferred candidate should have general labor, assembly line, automated equipment experience. In addition, the preferred candidate should have record keeping, data entry experience and sanitation/cleaning/disinfection experience.
