Position: Senior Manager I, Operations

Duties: Manage the operations of Walmart's delivery service offering to clients by analyzing operational data from various sources. Analyze and interpret information by using various analytical methodologies for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency. Perform hyper care performance management for newly launched clients by analyzing order delivery data and measuring and tracking metrics, such as on-time delivery, cost per delivery, fulfilment rates, and defect rate. Identify zones and stores with performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures. Assess the business opportunity of potential clients by performing proximity analysis, coverage analysis, batching simulations, zip coverage assessments, and household coverage assessments and running workflows in Alteryx. Manage the costs incurred by analyzing cost data and identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities. Optimize delivery operations and devise and execute cost reduction strategies. Analyze market and zone data and existing client performance data to identify zones with optimal performance and supply to launch new clients. Translate data analysis insights into recommendations that are aligned with business objectives to meet business goals. Provide business insights, understand operational capabilities and client's service level agreements, and then develop and execute strategies to improve performance. Develop and execute strategies that promote the growth of the platform by onboarding and launching new clients and expanding the services offered to existing clients. Design and execute on processes that will build and shape the massive driver supply for the Spark Driver product. Utilize day-to-day operational levers to balance marketplace dynamics and ensure that customers, drivers, and stores are mutually benefitted. Understand client requirements and delivery propositions to forecast client volumes and cost per delivery. Manage the development and improvement of new and existing operational tools, reports, and customer-facing functionalities by providing direction and input on business and functional requirements. Lead cross-functional collaboration to develop processes and strategies to improve Spark Driver engagement by partnering with product management, merchandising, engineering, and other groups. Supervise one (1) employee (1 Manager I, Operations).



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, or related field and 1 year of experience in operations, project management, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, or related field and 3 years of experience in operations, project management, or related area.



Skills required: Experience managing large datasets from multiple sources and building dashboards using at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Data Studio. Experience processing, wrangling, blending, transforming, and reporting data using SQL and Python. Experience building predictive analytics models and data science models. Experience conducting exploratory data analysis, wrangling data, building statistical models, and deriving insights from large datasets using at least of the following: Microsoft (MS) Excel, R, or Python. Experience implementing data flows and data pipelines to optimize data models. Experience documenting and creating roadmaps using Lucid Charts. Experience using Microsoft (MS) Excel and Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint to create, analyze, interpret, visualize, communicate, and present data-driven models and strategies. Experience executing quantitative and qualitative data analyses using macro-economic parameters and key business performance metrics to understand what drives a business and to develop improvement plans. Experience with formulating and executing complex business strategies and combining analytical insights to provide data driven recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience managing multiple complex cross-functional projects and programs that drive business growth and business objectives by achieving alignment and agreed outcomes. Experience creating playbooks and processes, defining success metrics and goals, and designing, building, and streamlining operational processes to address business needs. Experience with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving. Experience building and managing cross-functional relationships with key partners. Experience understanding customer requirements and creating solutions to meet their needs. Experience developing and improving new and existing operational tools, reports, and customer-facing functionalities by providing direction and input on business and functional requirements. Experience with People Management. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $151,736/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
