Position: Staff Software Engineer



Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Program Golang in an agile environment contributing to our API backend and configuration pipeline. Create frontend user interfaces using JavaScript and React to allow application teams to do the configuration of our various products such as load balancers and proxies. Participate in the discovery phase of medium to large projects contributing to the high level design by partnering with the tech leads, product management, Web Operations, project management, business and user experience teams, including implementing prototypes to validate ideas. Troubleshoot business and production issues and engage support teams to assist in the resolution cycles, including reviewing and analyzing impact, criticality and possible root cause, formulating and directing the action plan, interpreting the results, performing bug fix and completing documentation.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience designing and implementing in Golang. Experience with Linux system programming using C and C++. Experience designing and implementing frontend using JavaScript and React. Experience with scripting for testing and deployment with Python. Experience with deployment and testing of the products in cloud services including Azure and platforms including Docker. Experience participating in DevOps and CICD practice for all stages in products timeline. Experience with relational DB including MYSQL. Experience designing and implementing the client server architecture. Experience designing and implementing in Golang for web services of REST API. Experience with network programming using Golang under TCP/IP protocols for the network proxy. Experience with Linux system administrative tools for product testing, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $182,073/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
