Position: Senior Software Engineer



Job Location: 680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Translate requirements into solutions, write code, collaborate with team including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, directions, examples, and timelines. Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product and cross-functional teams, document and demonstrate them to architecture approvals. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Software Engineering and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expertise and guidance to team. Perform code refactoring and code optimization to reduce redundancies and improve performance and efficiency of overall application using knowledge of Software engineering and Technical expertise. Troubleshoot production issues by gathering information; perform root cause analysis; engage support teams to resolve the issues and identify solutions to reduce future issues. Perform application deployments in Cloud platforms, configure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines using Containerization and build frameworks. Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure application sanity using Test frameworks. Analyze and fix the bugs in the application using knowledge of application development along with strong analytical and debugging skills.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience designing and developing REST APIs to perform save, retrieve and update operations using Spring and Spring Boot. Experience developing application integrations for distributed messaging systems including Kafka. Experience developing database queries to retrieve data from databases including Cassandra, and SQL to optimize and improve performance. Experience setting up cloud clusters and deploying applications in distributed environments. Experience configuring container-orchestration and application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience designing and developing unit tests and integration tests, automation suite using Mockito, Power mock and Junit test frameworks. Experience developing API documentation for micro services using Swagger and Open API tools. Experience developing Splunk dashboards and alerts for application observability and performance monitoring. Experience configuring build pipelines using Maven, Azure tools and Jenkins. Experience implementing the application logging using slf4j and log4j frameworks. Experience with Application Coding in Object Oriented Programming Languages including Java. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $182,073/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
