Position: Software Engineer III



Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Build n-tier highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and Reactive Microservices using Java, Scala, Go, JavaScript, Camel, AKKA, and RESTful architecture for Walmart Omni platforms. Develop algorithms and data structures to provide 360-degree visibility for Walmart's Item and Inventory Ecosystem. Design and develop search and indexing capability for Catalog and Grocery ecosystem using text search libraries Apache Lucene and Elastic Search. Design and develop Walmart's backend Retail Applications and Services for US and international markets. Participate in the migration of clusters from Bare Metal to Cloud. Develop new UI features for suppliers and merchants using React Js and Node Js. Direct the root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information. Provide disaster recovery and failover and failback mechanisms. Develop monitoring scripts.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.




Skills required: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Java and microservices with Spring. Experience coding in at least one of the following object-oriented programming languages: C++, Python, or Java. Experience designing and testing at least one of the following Relational Database Management Systems: DB2, MYSQL, Oracle, or JDBC. Experience using Cloud technologies and deploying applications with at least one of the following: Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS. Experience writing test cases for unit tests and regression tests. Experience using and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git. Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment. Experience transforming business and functional requirements into technical solutions. Experience organizing technical documents. Experience using operation systems including Linux, Unix, and macOS. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $184,662/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
