Plans, implements and evaluates activities related to the academic advising/mentoring of undergraduate psychology students. Coordinates advising recruiting, retention, special events, programs, and activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
65% - Essential - Advising: Plans, implements and evaluates activities related to the academic advising/mentoring of psychology students, including registration and course selection, academic progress, police and procedure interpretation, career overview, major change, graduation requirements, transfer credits, course substitutions, and personal development. Refers students to appropriate campus services.
15% - Essential - Curriculum Support. Assist with the course that introduces students to the Psychology major. Communicates and coordinates with departmental curriculum and scheduling committees. Provides other support for faculty advisors.
10% - Essential - Orientation: Plans and implements freshman and transfer orientation sessions Meets with prospective students and their families.
10% - Essential - Special Programs Management: Participates in special programs such as Fall for Clemson, Spring Blitz, the Bridge to Clemson Program and the New Student Academic Progress Program
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree and experience in student services programs Work Exp 1+ years
RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
