Required License/Registration/Certification | None. Student employee will be required to attain the Wilderness First Responder certification along with some in house training once hired. |
Physical Requirements | The position may require lifting or pushing objects up to 50lbs, or extended amounts of time walking or standing. |
Shift | Trips can range from half day to full day to overnight. Spring break and fall break trip leaders will be chosen by the Coordinator. |
Job Summary | - Participate in pre trip meetings with Coordinator and Assistant Director- Conduct pre trip meetings with participants when needed based on trip.- Help promote and market the trips throughout the semester- Lead at least 2 trips in the Fall and then again in the Spring- Update the Coordinator with travel updates when applicable or asked for.- Stay current with best practices and trends - Attend and participate in all monthly staff meetings during the semester- Maintain WFR, First Aid, CPR and AED certification as well as in house trainings.- Pass monthly test outs for WFR scenarios conducted by the Coordinator.- Have knowledge of current Adventure Trips and where to get more information |
