POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Total Rewards, and HR Technology is responsible for leading a team of individuals in the day-to-day operations and delivery of Flexcon’s Global Compensation, Benefits and HR Technology. This individual will need to be both hands-on and strategic in managing the compensation, benefits, and HR Technology globally. This role will have two direct reports, the Sr. Compensation and Benefits Analyst as well as the Sr. People Systems Analyst.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources Management, Business or related field of study preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of Compensation, Benefits and HR Technology experience required; experience overseeing global compensation and benefits preferred.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS or CBP) and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • UKG experience preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Plan, design, implement, and manage a comprehensive global rewards strategy.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current programs in achieving global organizational objectives; identify best practices and benchmarks; and develop recommendations for modifications to align with HR strategy and business goals.
  • You will regularly analyze and assess global market data, industry trends, and best practices to create a market competitive Total Rewards programs.
  • This position will oversee all compensation activities in partnership with the Sr. Compensation and Benefits Analyst, such as merit process and procedures, job analysis, evaluation and classification, survey participation, policy, and other compensation activities.
  • The role will also be responsible for all group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, travel and accident plans, flexible spending plans, retirement plans and other benefits, including but not limited to wellness and onsite health center).
  • Oversee the wellness program to ensure that it reflects best practices and commitment to our employee’s well-being. Collaborate with the wellness vendor to assure alignment of programs and initiatives that drive results and focus on the alignment of benefits and well-being strategies.
  • Evaluate and compare existing Total Rewards within the market by analyzing plan metrics, surveys, cost modeling and other sources of information. Develop specific recommendations with respect to possible plan changes that reflect best practices and our goal to attract and retain talent. Make recommendations for changes as needed.
  • Oversee the communication and education of the Total Reward programs to ensure understanding as well as promote Flexcon’s commitments to be the employer of choice.
  • Oversee the design of benefit plans to ensure its competitiveness while managing the cost to ensure a return on the plan expenditures.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and management to understand and address the unique needs of their various client groups.
  • Early diagnosis of trends (external or internal) that could impact the business and provide workable solutions.
  • Lead the team through regular benchmarking cycles to analyze and assess market data, industry trends, and best practices to create global market competitive reward packages and to identify potential opportunities and gaps.
  • Ensure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act. Prepare reports required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies such as the IRS, DOL and other regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for developing and conducting employee education meetings, seminars, webinars etc. to promote benefits and well-being.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure system is accurate and reports are being run in a timely manner and that feeds to and from carriers are timely and accurate and establishes and maintains an audit schedule to catch any inaccuracies or feed issues.

HR Technology:

  • Oversees the development, installation, testing, and modification of global HRIS systems.
  • Assesses organizational needs and current HRIS systems, evaluates potential and existing vendors, and selects and oversees development and implementation of improvements or new systems.
  • Defines standard reports or queries, and creates custom queries on an ad hoc basis.
  • Establishes strategies for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data.
  • Ensures that system documentation or training are accurately updated and maintained.
  • Evaluate complex data/information to make recommendations that will assist the business in attracting, retaining, motivating and rewarding top performers.

Other:

  • Lead large company wide global projects within the Compensation, Benefits, and HR Technology function.
  • Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Category #2 (Hybrid Employee): Employee requires regular travel to a Flexcon facility and will require a dedicated remote and onsite office space (must work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week).
  • Estimated travel is 5%.
  • Driving while on company business is required for this role on an infrequent basis (defined as anyone that drives on company business between 1 – 49 times per year not including regular commute to work).
