Overview

IDG is currently seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Procure-to-Pay Analyst Intern to join our team for a comprehensive, 10-week paid summer internship program. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the Procure-to-Pay Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to learn about Procurement and Accounts Payable processes, systems, and best practices. In this role, you will be immersed in a global collaboration environment, which will allow them to collect and analyze data from all continents, as well as to learn and interact within different cultures on a truly global team.

This role will be based in our Needham MA office with a hybrid schedule of working in the office 1-2 days per week, preferably on Wednesdays or Thursdays. The other days can be work from home.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve supplier creation requests in Palantir-Foundry, upon risk analysis via Interos Risk Management software.
  • Review contracts in Ironclad (Contract Management System), and update contract records for data accuracy, example, correction of expiration dates and contract types.
  • Create weekly payment batch report for the US and Canada – Excel based.
  • Support on creation and update of policies and SOPs using Canva and Word.
  • Perform various analyses for the Procurement and Accounts Payable departments.
  • Additional special projects as they arise.

Internship Projects:

  • Gather, cleanse, and combine global spend data for about 50 legal entities worldwide for Q2 FY2024 – exposure to various currencies and report structures. Upon data cleaning, upload to Power BI model and support analytics process.
  • Transfer Payment Terms Management process from Palantir-Foundry to Power Automate. Clear guidance and instructions will be provided.
  • Participate in the creation of Procurement Scorecard, supporting Power BI development, calculation of KPIs (Average Days to Pay, Savings, etc.) and scorecard design in Power Point.


Qualifications

IDG is looking for an Undergraduate or Graduate student pursuing a major in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field. The ideal candidate is curious, has a desire to learn, and is looking to expand their knowledge across multiple systems and corporate processes. Experience with business intelligence software a plus, ex. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc. – desire to exploit the systems’ capabilities based on latest enhancements, for example, AI Insights, etc. Any automation skills, for example, Python scripts, Power Automate, etc. are a plus.

The expected compensation, depending on education level, is between $22-$25/hour for undergrads and $30-35/hour for graduate students.
