Overview
Performs animal and molecular biology experiments.
Prepares grant applications, peer-reviewed publications, and conference presentations.
Trains, mentors, and supervises research assistants, students, and junior staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Ph.D. with major training in a relevant field
Mouse husbandry and dissection
Environmental exposure experiments with mice
Molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, Western blots)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a small group setting
Ability to interact in a positive and productive manner with a diverse lab community
Qualifications
Ph.D. in molecular genetics, epigenetics, or environmental health sciences
Next-generation sequencing library preparation
Bioinformatics analysis in R and Python
Biostatistics analysis
Highly motivated and responsible
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to be self-motivated, to prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
