Position Title: Senior Accountant - Global Services (Hybrid in Minneapolis)

Our team is working hybrid and this position would need to be on-site 2-3 days a week in our Fridley, MN office.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities

  • Provide wide range accounting operations support and accounting process leadership to legal entities at a global level
    • Posting of month end entries like payroll, legal entity trial balances, cash, Intercompany etc 
    • Execution of internal control programs identified in Internal control framework


    • Preparation and analysis of various reports for month end close 

    • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations 

    • Performing data analysis to review large sets of accounting information

    • Provide data and support for various statutory, US GAAP, and Tax  audits

    • Ad hoc assignments


  • Direct Global Accounting Services team members in India with complex accounting issues as needed


  • Participate in special projects, including large and complex assignments such as transitional service agreements (TSA), business integrations, and system implementation

  • Identify opportunities for optimization and transformation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as supply chain, IT, human resources, legal, master data & regulatory affairs

Must Have:

 

  • Requires a  Bachelor degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have

 


  • CPA, CMA, MBA in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Eagerness to learn

  • International accounting experience, including multiple entities consolidation and functional currencies translation

  • Manufacturing industry finance and accounting experience
    Experience with start-ups, divestitures, or joint ventures
    Demonstrated ability to manage to tight deadlines, along with flexibility to changing priorities

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
    Experience with business partnering

  • Self-starter with the insight and vision to propose changes even in the face of opposition

  • High level of strategic and innovative thinking

  • Highly proficient in Excel

  • Experience with SAP
