The BSA Compliance Analyst will provide guidance and assist in executing the BSA/AML Compliance program. They are responsible for ensuring all required regulatory reporting is conducted in a timely, accurate and compliant manner including filing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR’s) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR’s) to FinCEN, as well as FinCEN 314a procedures and reporting. Establish and maintain appropriate Suspicious Activity investigation, review and reporting processes that promote consistent decisions, adequate investigation and research, and complete detail documentation as well as Office of Foreign Affairs (OFAC) processes and procedures. This position may be specific to First PREMIER Bank, PREMIER Bankcard, or a combination of Bank and Bankcard.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strong decision making, analytic and investigation abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to conduct training and education of Bank/Bankcard personnel independently.
Be proficient in aspects of BSA/AML, specifically suspicious activity reporting.
Consult with the business on matters related to operations and customer relations and provide advice on risks and controls.
Assist in planning the scope of assigned projects.
Prepare the review program for approval by department manager or VP.
Conduct independent interviews with the business and utilize judgement to ask follow-up questions and draw conclusions.
Assist in planning projects.
Stay abreast of current, upcoming, and proposed regulatory changes.
Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred and at least 3 years of industry experience in a banking or financial organization.
Demonstrated organizational, confidential and independent work experience necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Proficient knowledge of the structure and content of the English language is required, including the meaning, rules of composition, and grammar.
