As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with expertise in real estate or construction accounting to join our team.
Oversee all aspects of accounting functions related to real estate development projects, including but not limited to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP standards.
Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to track project costs, monitor budgets, and analyze variances.
Perform monthly reconciliations of project accounts and review general ledger entries.
Conduct detailed financial analyses to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and tax filings.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and accounting standards related to real estate and construction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on real estate or construction industry.
Strong understanding of real estate development processes, including project accounting, cost management, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
