HOW YOU CAN MAKE A BIGGER DIFFERENCE:
Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services are focused on improving the significant challenges experienced by youth due to mental illness or serious emotional disturbance. The Youth ACT Team is a multi-disciplinary team and works together to provide family-driven, youth-guided and developmentally appropriate services to address the needs of youth within the family, school, medical, behavioral, psychosocial and community domains.
Based in the Fordham area of the Bronx, NY the Youth ACT Team's Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide treatment and support services to families and youth, ages 10 to 21, who have significant behavioral health needs and who are at risk of entering, or returning home from high end services. The role involves
Providing highly-individualized supports focused on clinical treatment, family education and skills development in their homes and communities
Collaborating closely with other service providers and systems with which the family interacts.
This a field position with work related travel reimbursement, a hybrid flexible schedule that includes at least one late night per week and rotating on-call coverage.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
Licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LCAT) in a Behavioral Health or related field
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in providing direct services to children with serious emotional disturbance and their families
Fluency in Spanish preferred
Frequent travel throughout the assigned borough (Bronx); infrequent travel throughout NYC
