Principal Trainer for EPIC at Vancouver Clinic

Job Description:

Are you ready to embark on an EPIC adventure? We're seeking an experienced trainer to join our dynamic team as an Epic EHR (and other) systems trainer. If you're passionate about empowering others, this is the role for you!

New hires generally start between $67,000/yr to $91,000/yr with placement in the range based on qualifications and professional experience.

Schedule varies, but is primarily Monday through Friday with some weekends as needed. Hours are generally between 7am and 5:30pm, class times do have a set schedule. Will be hybrid on site and remote.

Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing & administering training need assessments, analyzing organizational challenges, & developing organizational solutions that have a measurable impact on addressing performance gaps & problems.

  • Instructional design and curriculum development, as well as the delivery of training content to a variety of amazing healthcare staff at Vancouver Clinic including leadership, providers, and front-line workers.

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure effectiveness.

  • Evaluate and provide feedback.

  • Participate in train-the-trainer and other programs as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

  • Proficiency with online communication tools such as Zoom and/or WebEx.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to satisfy customers and enhance software usage in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education or Adult Learning preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of professional training development and delivery experience in a corporate training environment.

  • Experience/Certification in Epic EMR Application(s) strongly preferred. If not certified, must obtain certification within six months of employment.

  • Experience with eLearning development tools such as Captivate or Articulate desired.

  • Experience with online training through tools such as Zoom or WebEx required.

  • Experience in software support required.

  • Experience using Nuance/Dragon voice recognition software preferred.

  • Experience in providing training programs to users in a healthcare setting strongly desired.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare field strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of a Learning Management System strongly preferred.

Pay Range:
$66,800.00 - $100,201.00

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
