The research lab in the Departmentof Biochemistry and Microbiology, Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) in Tulsa is seeking a highly motivated and proactive postdoctoral fellow to study roleof estrogen receptor regulation of innate immunity in the urinary tractinfection (UTI) pathogenesis. The successful candidate will utilize molecularand immunological approaches to understand the significance of membrane andnuclear estrogen receptor signaling in regulation of inflammation in thebladder and kidney during initiation of UTI.

Physical Requirements:

  Education & Experience Position Qualifications:


Requirements: 

-Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or closely related field  
-Priorexperience in flow cytometry including sorting and data analysis, cell culture,bioinformatics and confocal microscopy would be a distinct advantage
-The candidatewill be expected to perform research, write manuscripts, and present findingsat the local and national meetings.



Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:

-The candidate will also help write grant proposals and will be strongly encouraged to submit fellowship applications (both within the institution and externally).
-Candidates must be able to independently design and conduct experiments with some supervision as needed.
-Candidates should be passionate, enthusiastic researchers who work well in teams and have excellent oral and written communication abilities.
