Position OverviewThe Druze Studies Journal (DSJ) is a new peer-reviewed open-access journal published by the KU Libraries. Dr. Rami Zeedan, the editor-in-chief, is currently working on the first issue and is seeking a graduate student to work as the copyeditor.Job Description100% Copyediting of manuscripts for an academic journal. Dr. Rami Zeedan, the editor-in-chief, is currently working on the first issue and is seeking a graduate student to work as the copyeditor.Required Qualifications

    During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
  1. The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented and have a strong grasp of academic writing style.

  2. Mastery of written English language demonstrated by grades in relevant courses or writing examples.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Interest/experience in the Jewish Studies.

  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  3. Familiarity with the Middle East, Arabic, Islamic Studies, or related fields.
