The Department of Statistics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia invites applications for multiple Instructor positions. A successful applicant is expected to teach service courses to undergraduate students and courses for undergraduate majors in statistics. Additional opportunities to collaborate on research, both within and outside the department, are available and will be encouraged. This position is ideal for the candidate who is thinking about pursuing a career in academics with teaching as the primary focus.
PhD or Master's Degree in the Statistical Sciences.
Strong preference will be given to those with a PhD in the Statistical Sciences and are committed to excellence in teaching. Exceptionally strong candidates with a master's degree in the statistical sciences will be considered.
