Overview

At Humanscale, we’re passionate about creating beautiful products while protecting the earth at the same time. We hold ourselves to this challenge and measure the results in practice. The Sustainability Intern will have the opportunity to help suggest innovative solutions for our products. The individual will participate in initiatives for materials research and educational initiatives. In this position, you will gain a broad understanding of sustainability and how it is put into practice in both operations and product design.

Responsibilities

• Research materials used in manufacturing Humanscale products
• Research alternative materials for use in Humanscale products and packaging
• Research potential handprinting projects
• Develop educational content on key sustainability topics
• Short research projects as needed

Qualifications

• Passion for sustainability
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum two (2) years into Sustainability curriculum or other relevant degree.
• Must be a student or returning to school in fall
