A Kforce client is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager in Arlington, Massachusetts (MA). This client is a long running security company. Responsibilities:
Department Oversight: Manage the accounting department, including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and staff accountants
Financial Reporting: Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements; Ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies
Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis; Ensure coordination with other departments to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts; Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide analysis to support decision-making
Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and periodic reviews; Oversee internal staff reconciliations, prepare supporting schedules and documentation, address audit inquiries, and implement recommendations for process improvements
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records; Regularly review processes and procedures to identify areas for enhancement
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience is required
Candidate must be highly proficient with data analysis using Excel and Access as well as all other Windows and Microsoft Office software applications
This position requires a team-oriented individual with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Individual must have a proven track record of taking initiative and handling numerous priorities at once and must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and accounting software
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
