Job Summary

Provides professional support for end users of personal computers or their associated networks, hardware, software, or peripherals.

Job Duties


  • Receive referrals from tier 1/help desk support and troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve more complex operating errors
  • Install and configure software or hardware updates or patches
  • Evaluate and resolve network connectivity or communications systems issues
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to systems or workstations and may provide user training
  • Ensure systems and workstations are compliant with organizational policies and security standards
  • May set up and deploy new user workstations or accounts
  • May assist with IT asset tracking
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

  • Perform work under minimal supervision
  • Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
  • Typically require a bachelor's degree and 4 to 6 years of experience
