Job Summary



Department Specific Responsibilities


  • Processes and maintains official degree and student progression records; answers specific questions regarding records; ensures that records are accurate and complete; and investigates and resolves any questions or discrepancies.

  • May process and approve official documents including transcripts and electronic progression forms.

  • Certifies completion of degree requirements.

General Responsibilities


  • Ensures accuracy, data entry and completeness of electronic progression documents operations; ensures smooth flow of operations and edoc approvals.

  • Serves as informational resource to staff, faculty and student; provides technical guidance; assists staff in resolving problems involved with electronic forms and progressions documents; operations; answers staff questions regarding policies and procedures. These policies are applied to degree completion and progression documents for graduate students

  • Responds to outside inquiries; investigates and resolves problems, complaints, or discrepancies.

  • Compiles and analyzes data entered and prepares any needed reports. Analyzes recording operations and makes recommendations on improvements.

  • Oversees the maintenance of any required electronic files.

  • Evaluates forms used in collecting data; recommends improvements for graduate recording area.

EDUCATION



Required



  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years in customer service, higher education, or related field

Working Conditions / Demands



This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
