Position Summary


  • As Project Business Finance Controller for US North, employee is responsible to control project revenues and cost

  • Also, the project controller is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgetary guidelines

  • This position reports directly to the Business Finance Manager, North America and provides support to the US North Delivery organization within US Delivery

  • Also involved in this position is to serve as the Major Project Finance Controller, and become the FP&A resource for the North American Scope in regards to project controlling

  • You will prepare and present periodic financial reports and help to create project forecasts and budgets

  • This position serves as the team lead for all reporting for all of NAM Project Controls and supports all revenue/margin and internal rate analysis

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Project evaluation, project release and project close-out

  • Project monitoring and data collection to determine if a project is progressing according to budget

  • Reviews project activities for compliance with procedural guidelines and standards

  • Ensures compliance with the Company's financial policies and procedures to include revenue recognition policies and project set up rules

  • Serves as a liaison between the business office and operations

  • Communicates project forecast variances and/or project anomalies in a timely manner

  • Prepares the forecast and tracks the budget periodically

  • Monitors the project cash flow

  • Collaborates with the Service Administrators on the monthly reconciliation of billed/unbilled vs. revenue. Includes researching for time to invoice and reconciliation of open items

  • Coordinates with the Project Administrators to ensure project invoices are accurately prepared and submitted timely

  • Ad Hoc financial reports and closing as required

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Calculation of absorption and utilization

  • Labor Rate calculation

  • Review bid proposal

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree

  • At least 3+ years of experience as Project Controller

  • At least some accounting experience

  • SAP , highly proficient in Excel, in all of Microsoft Office

Skills & Abilities

  • Great attitude, who can thrive with different personalities

Preferences


  • At least 5+ years of experience as Project Controller in Automation industry or similar companies

  • At least 3+ years of accounting experience

  • Add on Excel programs like BI, and SGV (project forecasting software), external and internal audits, etc.
