Job Description

JOB TITLE:          Local Truck Driver

Position Overview 

This position responsible for Transportation between the Manufacturing facility at Yuma and the San Luis Distribution Center.  Not responsible for over the road driving.

Essential Job Functions

• Transfers finished goods from production site to the San Luis Site


• Transfers finished goods and raw materials from the San Luis to the production site and production site to the San Luis


• Unloads inbound transfers at the San Luis and production site


• Performs Trailer Inspections


• Recoups damage when necessary


• Assists in housekeeping activities at the Yuma and San Luis Site


• Performs job functions in line with the SQF Code


• Attends trainings provided and suggested


• Responsible for keeping trailers clean and swept out free of debris and water


• Other Duties Assigned

Important Other Skills/Abilities

• Fork Truck experience in Warehouse setting


• Work efficiently with little supervision 


• Experience in Tractor/Trailer Transport

Education/Work Requirements

• H.S. diploma or equivalent


• Possess current CDL


• Eligible to work in the United States

Physical Demand Characteristics: Medium - Lifts 25 lbs. or less frequently; lifts 50 lbs. occasionally.  Walks and/or stands most of the day.  Bends and stoops frequently.  Reaches over head and stoops frequently. May push/pull, climb

While performing the responsibilities of the above job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
