Global Demand Planner

We are looking for a Global Demand Planer Materials for our Plymouth, MI facility. In this role you will Using analytical, marketing, and sales data, a demand planner is able to estimate future product demands with the goal of maximizing cash flow, sales levels, and service. In achieving these goals, a demand planner interacts with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Sourcing, and Manufacturing Operations

Your Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the global forecast evaluation on product level, planning strategies and regional allocation* (Allocation DCs)
  • Release orders from the DC's to the manufacturing site
  • Volume allocation to regional DC's and drop-shipments within region in consultation with sales priorities
  • Cooperative teamwork with other departments like production planning, Quality assurance (QA), Operations department, procurement department, sales planning department.
  • Monitor and ensure regular MRP runs
  • Inventory and Service Level KPI monitoring and reporting (broken down by location)
  • In charge of the portfolio manufactured by the site, only finished goods
  • Interface with Regional Sales Planners / customer service and local Production Planners
Your Profile:


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
  • Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain, Planning or Forecast and/or related experience
  • Understanding Demand and Distribution Planning principles, APICS/Forecast training and certification highly desirable
  • Strong Analytical skills and ability to provide recommendations
  • Ability to operate and structure large amount of data, very strong knowledge of Excel is required
  • Ability to work with databases, Power BI is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand all collaborators' priorities and context, adapt communication to the counterpart
  • Able to work independently and self-motivated
  • Positive and open-minded in all interactions with counterparts, goodwill is a must
  • Able to structure and synthesize data and processes
  • Result oriented and dead line driven
