Environmental Services Assistant, First Shift, Environmental Services

UC Health is hiring a full-time Environmental Services Assistant for the Environmental Services for the first shift at Danie Drake Center for Post-Acute Care.

The Environmental Services Assistant will support Daniel Drake's emergency room (ER) and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care is the regions premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services and research. Daniel Drake Center helps patients recover from catastrophic injury and illness including multi-system organ failure, complex wound care, traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury.

Daniel Drake is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. The availability of these on-site services allows for quick response to the complex and evolving care needs for our patients.Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written materials.
• Preferred: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.
• The employee must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of chemicals, cleaning products and their interaction is preferred.

Under close supervision, performs basic tasks to maintain the facility in a sanitary, safe, clean and attractive condition.

• Cleans & sanitizes - consultation rooms, utility rms., kitchens, copy rooms and restrooms.
• Dust and damp mop resilient floors. Operates buffers, auto scrubbers & extractors. Strip/scrub & refinishes floors.
• General cleans - lobbies, waiting areas, offices, conference rooms, etc.
• Sanitize and empty trash receptacles & transports biohazard waste.
• Cleans & polish wall hangings, water fountains, ice machines, vents, mirrors, glass doors & equipment. Transport furniture & complete set-ups.
• Vacuum carpet, upholstery clean furniture and spot wash walls.
• Stores & replenishes supplies, report repairs & safety needs, etc.
