The Shift Leader's role is to supervise operators of chemical processing equipment and monitor the production processes to ensure safe and efficient operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and conducts required in-process quality checks to identify and resolve issues during processing.
Guides and assists with troubleshooting and resolution of problems with equipment.
Ensures all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements are followed.
Coaches team for top performance and resolves conflicts.
Prepares equipment for maintenance activities. Ensures equipment is safe to be worked on and issue work permit.
Fostesr and maintains a positive work environment.
Acts as on-scene Incident Commander in the event of an emergency.
Identifies hazard(s) and take appropriate action.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGE
PTech preferred but not required
Proficient in English language
7+ years in high hazard plant experience preferred. (HF Specifically)
Physical requirements: Ability to climb stair wells, walk long distances, standing long periods of time.
