3rd Shift Production Prep

Leer East in Milton, PA is seeking highly motivated dependable employees to join our 3rd Shift Production Prep team. Start time is 8:00 PM.

$750 Sign on Bonus payable after 90 days of successful employment!

Overtime may be built into the schedule and some Saturday availability is required.

1 - 3 years manufacturing experience preferred. Leer provides full time hours, overtime, & 10 paid holidays from date of hire. Eligibility for a competitive benefit package is after only 30 days of full time employment and includes paid holidays, group health insurance, prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, short-term disability and a 401(k) plan. Paid vacation after 1 year.

SUMMARY

Responsible to prepare the facility for first shift work.

Hours: 8 PM - 4:30 AM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES - Duties may include:

  • Clean and maintain paint booths
  • Inspect and replace filters and wall & door seals throughout the plant as needed
  • Inspect and replace hoses as needed
  • Scale grates in paint booths
  • Clean booth lights
  • Replace cardboard floor coverings
  • Remove residual trash
  • Run Floor scrubber
  • Replace tack paper in booths throughout the plant
  • Minor maintenance work
  • Forklift experience appreciated

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    This employee may be required to have a high school diploma or GED. In additions, this employee may be required to participate in annual training for Hazardous Waste Recycling and fire safety.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    This employee needs the ability to read and verbally communicate in English.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


    • Repetitive bending from the upright position to approximately a 35 degree angle
    • Able to use basic hand tools. Must physically be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs with frequent bending
    • Ability to work on feet for 8-10 hour shifts
    • Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as needed, including 10 hour shifts. Able to perform other related duties as assigned
    • Must be able to frequently reach overhead, bend/stoop, push/pull, twist, stand, walk, perform repetitive hand movements, and lift and/or carry up to 50lbs. Frequently required to operate a forklift and hand tools. Must be capable of donning personal protective equipment including respirators, safety glasses, safety boots, earplugs, and gloves.
    • Works primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, water and extreme heat and cold, vibrations and noise.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers. Lifting can be a factor in this job.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The fumes/gases are moderate to severe. The environment may become warm to hot upon occasion.

    This is a full time permanent position.

    Requirements:

    Must have transportation, NOT accessible by public transportation

    Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
