Equipment Technician – Materials:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Materials technical expert to the Manufacturing Management or other responsible manufacturing personnel.

  • Records and maintains perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed, manually or using computer-based software.

  • Compiles and maintains records, such as material inventory records, production records, and service records, PO generation and vendor payment manually or using computer-based software.

  • Complete incoming inspections, examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.

  • Compare work order or PM specifications to material used to verify appropriate assignment for required tasks.

  • Assure that the proper type and amount of material is on hand and that all consumption is noted and the items low on stock are replenished and MC is updated to reflect actual inventory levels.

  • May drive a truck to outlying work areas to check status of orders or to deliver materials.

  • Must be shift and time flexible.

  • The factory needs such as plant shutdowns, equipment failures, planned maintenance activities may require working on some weekends or being on-call.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Must be able to self-learn and understand complex machinery and processes, to use computers and common software, and to clearly communicate verbally and in writing using English.

  • Must be able to physically perform the position (safely lift 50 lbs. periodically, pass respirator certification).

  • Must be able to consistently deliver the hours required to do the job.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

  • Minimum Education – HS Diploma/GED; Associate’s or higher education preferred

  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.  In order to be eligible, you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
