Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Austin - Lakeline office (hybrid, with 3 days a week in the office; may require office presence 5 days a week during initial training period):




Senior Project Manager





What can you expect?



  • The Senior Project Manager will report to the Head of the Austin Center of Excellence, and will support the COE in managing projects end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction


  • You will develop and maintain detailed risk and project plans, including resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc., keeping plans updated through the project lifecycle


  • You will manage work streams and project meetings, documenting and following up on actions and risks identified from the meetings


  • You will build relationships with Marsh colleagues from multiple remote offices and drive continuous improvement for the department as well as the company


  • You will attend a robust training program of classroom, side-by-side, and on-the-job training; we will provide the required insurance knowledge to be successful while learning our systems

We will count on you to:



  • Manage multiple projects, including resources, project plans, budgets and timelines


  • Understand the impact of scope changes, adjust project plans, and communicate accordingly; and recommend new standards and procedures based upon project experience and results


  • Maintain ongoing communication within the team as well as with stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities


  • Negotiate resource requirements when faced with conflicts in priorities


  • Assign work to entry-level professional and support staff, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and procedures


  • Review project proposals of high complexity and ambiguous parameters with identifiable risk to the company, validate all project requirements, and provide recommended changes to proposals





What you need to have:



  • 3+ years of project management experience in a multi-cultural and multi-site environment, including projects with a significant number of stakeholders which involved presenting to and communicating with senior leadership


  • Demonstrated ability in driving large-scale transformation projects; must have large-scale project implementation experience on both technology and non-technology projects


  • Change management experience; experience in ensuring adoption by stakeholders and user populations, and ensuring anticipated benefits are realized


  • Experience in stakeholder management, adhering to budget control, review and escalation


  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills





What makes you stand out?



  • Experience in Agile methodology preferred


  • Domain knowledge in financial services or insurance highly preferred
