Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Quantum Storage Appliance Management:


  • Monitor system health and performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement proactive monitoring solutions to anticipate potential issues.
  • Develop scripts or tools for automated monitoring of system parameters.
  • Analyze monitoring data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement compression techniques to maximize storage efficiency.
  • Optimize compression algorithms to balance performance and storage savings.
  • Develop Python scripts for managing uploads and downloads to/from the storage appliance.
  • Integrate Python with APIs or SDKs provided by the storage appliance vendor.
  • Optimize file transfer processes for efficiency and reliability.


Diskover Data Tool:

  • Automation of Compress, Archiving, Purging, and Archiving/Purging and decompress.
  • Implement procedures for archiving data to secondary storage or archival systems.
  • Monitor archiving activities and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Generate reports on data discovery results, archiving activities, and purging activities.


Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for storage appliance management.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity utilization, and security compliance.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements based on analysis of reports.


Education & Experience

  • High School Graduate with 2 years related work experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Working Conditions

  • This position is hybrid / remote
  • May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
  • Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
  • May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate project


Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
