The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for alooking for a talented Ocean Club General Manager to join the team at this National Historic Landmark!
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 700 rooms ( to include cottages and villas ), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.
The Ocean Concierge Club Lounge Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Club Lounge by providing excellent guest services, supervision, direction and leadership for the Club Lounge. This incumbent is also responsible for the care and services as it relates to the property's members program and VIPs.
Position Summary:
The Ocean Concierge Club Manager is responsible for the execution of daily operations, including all Food and Beverage and ambassador's responsibilities, directs and works with the Club Ambassadors and Club Attendants to carry out guest check in procedures and to maintain the property's standards while striving to ensure guest and employee satisfaction and achieve the operating budget.
Qualifications
• Provides supervision, direction and leadership to the Club Lounge.
• Be familiar with the policies and procedure to ensure that all associates under his/her supervision adhere to the policies.
• Hires and trains service guidelines to all team members so they may carry out their duties efficiently and effectively at all times.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and efficiently in the best interest of the hotel.
• To manage all loss expenses occurred on the Ocean Club Lounge such as but not limited to amenity supplies, food and beveragesand any other relevant expenses.
• Control lounge inventory including food, alcohol, soft drinks, silverware, glassware, china, linens, serving pieces, buffet presentation pieces
• Cultivates and maintain close relationship with all the guest especially Club guest, members, and VIP at all times with the view to ensure they are well.
• To conduct inspections of Club areas ensuring they are defect free and well-kept by Engineering and Housekeeping department.
• Maintain highest standards of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards staff and guests.
• Strong team player, whilst still having the ability to work independently.
• Communicate guest needs and preferences within the department and throughout the property to ensure that each guest has the most personalized experience possible
• Create a welcoming lounge environment for all who enter the Club
• Maintain cleanliness at all times
• Service all food and beverage requests of guests with gracious and sincere hospitality
• Evaluate the staffing requirements and prepare schedules weekly, adhering to budget goals
• Communicate anticipated business demands to both Front Office and Food & Beverage leadership
• Ensure staff's knowledge of hotel services, features, and amenities
• Monitor and ensure that Hotel staff performs their job functions to the hotel's expected level of service
• Conduct ongoing training with existing staff and ensure that new staff is certified as required
• Ensure payroll is documented and submitted accurately and promptly
• Ensure payroll forecast are accurately completed and submitted timely
• Provide feedback and conduct performance appraisals of staff
• Possess the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful, hurried environment
• All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma; preferably college degree
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years experience in a supervisory role in Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, or other area of operation within the Rooms Division and/or 2 years experience in a guest facing F&B management role
• Prior experience working in a fine dining/elevated service environment
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years managing food & beverage operations
• Any Licenses or Certificates Required: Food Safety certification, Responsible Beverage Service Certification.

Salary Range : The annual salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
