ISS STOXX is hiring! ISS-Corporate is seeking a Client Engagement Sales Specialist specializing in Sustainable Finance services, specifically Second Party Opinions. In this exciting role, you will drive revenue growth for our ISS-Corporate business in the Americas. You will contribute to the overall performance of our Green/Social/Sustainability Bonds, Sustainability-linked bonds, and Green loans.

We seek a highly motivated candidate with a background in Sustainable Finance through experience in investment banking or related support services. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Sales and SPO operations teams to engage potential clients and banks and effectively present our ICS Sustainable Finance services.
  • Demonstrating a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving success with products and services in the market.
  • Taking ownership of the RFP process for all potential mandated projects in the sustainable finance arena. This will involve mobilizing internal resources to ensure ICS presents the strongest possible proposal.
  • Meeting assigned sales targets within the designated territories.
  • Cultivating relationships with thought leaders and relevant stakeholders in sustainable finance, including sector associations, public forums, and banks.
  • Providing valuable insights and guidance to the business on deploying and positioning our E&S assets to secure a positive market response.
  • Actively engaging in networking opportunities, observing market trends, and representing ICS at external conferences.

What you bring to ISS

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, responsible investment or corporate responsibility
  • Extensive knowledge of sustainability, sustainable finance, ESG rating methodologies and responsible investment
  • Good understanding of capital markets
  • Direct Sales experience is desirable
  • Network in the investment banking space is desirable
  • Strong conviction about sustainability issues
  • Assertive personality, relationship building skills and natural sales proficiencies
  • Collaborative approach to work and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Degree or equivalent in Business, International Relations, Finance or other related field
  • Languages: Ability to conduct business in English. Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus.

This role is only being recruited in New York City.

Base salary: The New York City expected base pay range is $85,000 - $100,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.

The role is bonus or sales incentive eligible.
