Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join a reputable law firm in Chicago. This candidate will ideally have a focus on family law, particularly high net worth individuals. Strong proficiency in Excel and managing financial data is essential. This firm offers a hybrid WFH schedule and competitive salaries, based on experience (up to $90K).
Responsibilities:
Review, index, analyze, and summarize financial records.
Prepare deposition summaries.
Coordinate and participate in document production.
Assist with witness preparation and attend depositions as required.
Aid in trial preparation and may attend and assist attorneys during trial.
Obtain information using Westlaw and Lexis systems.
Maintain a working knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Court.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of family law litigation experience or 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
Paralegal certification preferred, but will also consider individuals with equivalent experience.
Strong computer skills required, including Excel and electronic database management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Technical Skills:
Database management, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Document Management Systems.
Legal Research Tools such as Lexis Nexis, Summation, or WestLaw.
Billing Systems - Omega.
Adobe Acrobat.
